This is a pretty overdue Mixxmix review because I am always too lazy to write it otl. But I was talking to Christina (aka bbcreme) the other day and I finally set up my mind about this review. I am pretty sure many of you have heard about this store, it gained an insane deal of popularity from people posting pictures of their clothing items around the bottom half of last year. I thought I'd hop onto the trend train because their items are simplistic yet super adorable.
Note : This is not a sponsored review, this review is based entirely in my honest opinions.
Let's talk about the shipping. I ordered with a friend of my to get free shipping because we live in New Zealand and regular shipping to New Zealand costs a handful ; n ; Free EMS shipping to New Zealand meant we had to place an order over 150$USD and that is a heck lot too sighh. This haul was my 2015 Christmas present so despite the heartache because of all this money, I was happy when I placed the order!

I received the package on 19/10/2015.
I mean the shipping is quite fast, a total of 4 days; but that's no surprise because it is EMS shipping. I was a little disappointed with how long it took for them to send out the package though. I messaged them through the store and they said it was because of sudden burst of orders, that shipping placed orders became very difficult.
I actually placed the order when there wasn't a sale happening ; n ; I placed it a few days before the sale and let's say I was crying inside when the sale happened a few days after...
The items I bought are:
Basic Slim Fit Tee (cannot be found in store)
Heart Print Eco Bag (cannot be found in store)
Colored Stripe Crop Top (sold out)
Knife Pleat Mini Skirt (sold out)
Classic Pleat Tennis Skirt (white)
Basic Fold-over Knit Beanie (pink and grey)
Basic Slim Fit Tee (cannot be found in store) - $15.27
This is a really heavy tee and the material has a striped pattern! This is a super soft shirt and doesn't flow around like your normal cotton tees. I am not so sure what material this is made from but it feels too lovely. It gives off a cooler temperature when you first touch it but it is a pretty thick tee. I haven't worn this out yet but I think it might be a heat insulator t shirt ; n ;
This tee is really stretchy! If you don't wear the correct bra, the bra line will show and if you wear a dark colour bra, the bra will also seemingly show. I think for a $15 dollar tee it is an alright price; not too much but also not a bargain. The quality is pretty decent though. Btw, this colour doesn't suit me; it makes me look sick and dull ; n ;

It's a decent tee, but not an amazing tee and this colour makes me yucky ; n ;
Basic Fold-over Knit Beanie - $12.00
I've been eyeing out this beanie since the first time I saw it in their store ; u ; It is just too adorable! It is even better when you see it in person and it is a fairly good beanie. It isn't one of those really tightly knitted beanies but this wide knitting style gives off a cuter and dolly vibe hoho. The knitting of this beanie is also quite thick therefore it will keep your head nice and warm u w u
Yes I got two colours ; u ; one grey and one pink. Maybe the next time I order from Mixxmix I will get two other colours hehe. Although this beanie is super adorable, it isn't that adorable on person. However, I think it is the way you wear it because the beanie can make you look like your brain is the size of a watermelon otl. I got these beanies in preparation for China (I went back to China during January this year and surprisingly the cold only arrived after I left, I didn't wear this beanie at all)

I mean $12 isn't too bad for a beanie ; u ; maybe because I like these two too much.
Colored Stripe Crop Top (sold out) - $15.27
This crop top is really small when I took it out of the package ; n ; It is a one sized item so I couldn't choose sizes larger but I usually fit one sized items so I gave this crop top a chance. The material of this crop top is really thin; I mean in comparison to the Slim Fit Tee from above, this one isn't as worthy for $15.27.
I guess the first impression was correct because this crop top is really tight! I've never had anything this tight before considering my all my past experiences with one sized items. This pretty much clings onto my underarms and it's like a size 4. I guess I've been wronged otl ; n ; Anyway, the design of this crop top is adorable with the white and blue stripes. Once again, don't wear a brightly coloured bra.

I was about to give this crop top only two hearts but the design of this saved itself sighh - n -
Knife Pleat Mini Skirt (sold out) - $18.55
I've never been so happy with a pleated skirt ; u ; I absolutely love this one. Love is a really strong word and I don't love the majority of my closet but I do like them. This skirt is just too perfect in every way. A superb price for such amazing quality. This one is a total bargain omg. There's elastic and a zip; this skirt also has an under-layer.
I've never loved a skirt as much as this one ; u ; It's super adorable and the size of this skirt is just right for me. This skirt is way better than the Classic Pleat Tennis Skirt I ordered omg; this pleated skirt beats the classic tennis skirt not by miles. but by galaxies okay, millions of light years u w u This skirt goes down to around my mid-though and the pleats are too beautiful for words.

If you've been reading my reviews for all these years, you would know that I never give anything over the set range but this skirt deserves a truly 10/5 hearts.
Heart Print Eco Bag (cannot be found in store) - $13.09
This is such an adorable eco bag u w u it is my first ever one too. I mean if a beanie is $12 then $13 for a eco bag is a bargain really. This is actually an item from 99bunny!
For $13, the material is really decent. It has a denim-like material and everything seems pretty strong and sturdy. I am super scared that the straps will detach and break but the way they are attached are really decent. There is one pocket within this bag, you could keep important items in; like your bus card, your keys and lip things u w u
The print on this eco bag is adorable but one thing you should keep in mind is I eat, but I really don't diet. This eco bag would be great for putting a few light weighted books for university or some little items to the beach or small things to go shopping.

Classic Pleat Tennis Skirt (white) - $37.09 - Size M
It's on sale atm for $31.53!
Well I was really excited for this skirt because my Shein one is too short and I cannot wear it out ; n ; Unfortunately, I ordered a size too big sighh, This meant that the length is amazing but the waist part is way too wide omg I cry.
There's really nothing special about this skirt other than there are a white pair of shorts underneath. The sowing and hemming are really tidy and nicely done. However for almost $40, this skirt is quite overpriced. I wouldn't pay anything over $30 for this skirt.
Comparison with the Shein one:
The Shein one is made from a thicker material but the sowing and hemming aren't as sturdy as this one. The threads that hold the shape of the pleats can loosen and break if you stretch your skirt (happened with my black one).However, for $23, it is pretty decent. I know many people complains about how the Shein one is sheer; but I think that when you wear black shorts or nude shorts underneath, it is alright?
On the other hand, the Mixxmix skirt is overpriced because it is a "Celebrity Item". The quality is better than the Shein one but it is really not worth almost $40 - n - I would recommed checking Storenvys and Aliexpress for tennis skirts rather than purchasing this skirt. I altered this skirt when I went back to China and now the pleats look weird and diagonal sighh.

I guess that this have been a pretty pleasant shopping experience from Mixxmix but I do regret buying the classic tennis skirt sobs. However, if you are looking to purchase some items from them make sure you get some adorable socks because they are just too cute to be true!

Because I'm quite tall 182cm and was thinking of ordering things from sites like Mixxmix but I've found it difficult to find references of what the clothes might look like on someone my height (I'm most worried about skirt length lol)
